As an independent brand based in Atlanta, we love working in a city with so much creative energy. This place is full of other makers and artists that inspire us daily. There are many reasons to love our hometown, but one of our favorite things about Atlanta is the sheer amount of incredible restaurants and bars to choose from. We wanted to highlight a few of our very favorites because it’s Friday and we’re already in that weekend mood.
Little Spirit is a fairly new cocktail bar in the middle of Inman Park. With true craft cocktails and modern interpretations of old classics, this place has something for every cocktail lover. Plus, it offers a super fun, relaxed atmosphere. The bar is full of local art depicting musicians like David Bowie and Prince. It’s a great place to end your night or to share a drink before checking out all the other places Inman Park has to offer within walking distance.
8arm is a coffee shop/restaurant/late night bar right on Ponce de Leon Ave. Basically, the ultimate mash-up. We highly recommend dropping by for your morning caffeine fix and a breakfast sandwich. Though, you don’t want to miss out on the evening offerings. This place has an impressive selection of drinks and a great outdoor patio when the weather is nice. It can get pretty crowded on weekend nights, so try going early and checking out the dinner menu if you’re looking for a chill night out.
Gaja is a Korean bar over in East Atlanta with an extensive menu of small plate offerings and delicious drinks. If you go with a group, we recommend splitting dishes so you can get a taste for it all. Some of our favorites are the Spicy Tofu, the Kimchi Stew, and the Bibim Bap. Their kitchen is open pretty late as well, which is always a plus. On the weekends, you can sometimes even catch a good DJ. So, head on over to EAV and look for the teal door!
Laura, our in-house graphic designer, calls The Porter “hands down the best beer bar in Atlanta.” If your a beer lover, this Little Five Points staple has a super extensive beer list and a very knowledgeable staff. It’s a great place to kick back and enjoy and old favorite or to try some new recommendations that you can’t find anywhere else. If you’re hungry, they have a super tasty Vegetarian Beet Reuben (and a super tasty French Onion Cheeseburger). Something for everyone!
Bon Ton is a Vietnamese-Cajun style restaurant in Midtown with a menu that’s just as colorful and fun as its atmosphere. Though Bon Ton means “stylish” or “fancy” in French, this place is super relaxed and laid-back, offering “casual seafood with a Vietnamese spin”, and an impressive selection of frozen drinks. If you visit, be sure to get the five spice broccoli (an LBA staff favorite). We also hear they have a great brunch!
